Launch of Swim England

The ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) has rebranded to become Swim England. The former name had some contradictions, the elites were professional and the body only had jurisdiction over England. The roles of British Swimming and ASA had been confused at times.

At the same time as the re-brand, the body also launched its new strategy covering 2017-2021; Towards a Swimming Nation. The plans sets out some ambitious tasks - let's hope that encouraging and supporting the growth of distance swimming is a key priority...
